Answer:
In your account settings, you have the option to ‘Allow Caribou to Contact Me’. When this is checked, you agree to receive emails from Caribou. We send out an email two weeks before the upcoming contest, then a couple days right before the contest, to remind Coordinators of the contest and give them important information like what the interactive question will be or what the history question will be about. After the contest, you will receive an email with a summary of your students’ results. You will also receive an email if a new Coordinator registers at your school.

Answer:
We only send emails to Coordinators who have downloaded access codes for the current year and have checked the box ‘Allow Caribou to Contact Me’ in their Account Settings. To stop receiving such emails, sign in, go to Edit My Account, and change your settings. If you joined the Subscriber List, then you will also need to Unsubscribe.

Answer:
We try to avoid bothering Coordinators from previous years. We only send emails to Coordinators who participate in the current year (i.e. who have downloaded access codes this year) and who have checked the box “Allow Caribou to Contact Me” in their Account Settings. To receive updates about Caribou Contests even if you do not have any active students registered to your account, join our Subscriber List.
If you are a currently participating Coordinator and do not receive our emails, please verify the following:- Your email address is up-to-date (sign in as a Coordinator > Edit my Account > check and/or change your email address).
- You have checked the box "Allow Caribou to Contact Me" (sign in as a Coordinator > Edit my Account > at the bottom).
- Our emails are not in your Spam. Add our email address "[email protected]” to your email’s whitelist (mark them as “not spam”).
- Our emails are not getting blocked by your school’s filters. Check this by signing in, clicking on Test my Email Address and sending a test email to see if you receive it. If our emails are getting blocked, and your school IT are unable to lift the filter, you may want to change the email associated with your account to a personal email address.

If you would like to receive emails from Caribou, simply log in to your Coordinator account, go to ‘Edit my Account’, check the box ‘Allow Caribou to Contact Me’ and hit submit.

Answer:
To stop receiving emails from Caribou for your Caribou Coordinator account, simply log in to your Coordinator account, go to ‘Edit my Account’, uncheck the box ‘Allow Caribou to Contact Me’ and hit submit. Then, you will only receive emails from Caribou when a student registered under your account wins a prize or when you use the Contact Us form.
If you joined the Subscriber List, then you will also need to Unsubscribe.
Other Contacts/teachers at my school have received update emails for contests, but I did not and would like to.

Answer:
In order to not spam our current/former Caribou Coordinators, we only send update emails to those account meeting certain conditions. Please check the following:
- Sign in to your Coordinator account, go to 'Edit Account Information' and ensure your information is true and up-to-date. Often schools change their email addresses and automatically forward emails to the new email address for a time, but you must update your email address on our website manually.
- Sign in to your Coordinator account, go to 'Edit Account Information' and make sure you have ticked the box 'Allow Caribou to Contact Me'. We only send emails to Coordinator accounts who have given their permission to be contacted.
- Sign in to your Coordinator account, and generate at least one Access Code valid for this year by using 'Get Access Codes'. For example, you can generate 1 free K/1 Access Code. We only send reminder/announcement emails to Coordinator accounts with valid Access Codes for the current Caribou Cup.
